The project aims to counteract... the increasing domestic, sexual and institutional violence against women in the state of Pernambuco through preventive measures and the strengthening of women's groups. The project partner Coletivo Muher Vida (CMV) is setting up regional groups for 'rediscovering identity' for women affected by violence. In addition to psychosocial support, these groups also provide assistance in uncovering violence. In addition, the women affected are trained to recognize cycles of violence and to take concrete measures to interrupt them. The women are also trained in legal options against domestic and family violent crimes. The project is mainly carried out in the Goiana community. 260 women will primarily benefit from the program, while around 1,050 women will benefit indirectly.

The overarching goal of the in...tervention is to promote gender equality with an emphasis on empowering adolescents, eliminating child marriage and supporting the continuum of education for girls (preschool, primary and post-primary). By empowering girls under 15 years of age, equality is to be promoted. Access to and use of high-quality and comprehensive services for sexual and reproductive health and rights is to be increased. In this way, the project contributes to the achievement of SDG 5, and in particular SDG target 5.3 to the elimination of all harmful practices such as child marriage, early marriage and forced marriage as well as genital mutilation among women and girls.

The overall objective of the p...rogramme is that women and girls subjected to violence in Southern Africa have improved knowledge of their legal rights and access to victim-centred and human-rights based recourse mechanisms, including to gender-responsive criminal justice and protection services, thus being empowered to exercise their rights. Strengthening the legal framework and improving the capacities of duty bearers (criminal justice institutions and practitioners) to deliver gender responsive criminal justice is expected to reduce gender inequalities and empower women, a central component to the achievement of SDGs 5 and 16.

The objective of the project i...s to contribute to the reduction of gender based violence in the fishing communities of ten wards in Muleba district. The project aims to strengthen the treating and mediation of cases on community level to prevent and protect women and vulnerable groups from human right abuses. The direct beneficiaries are 10 paralegals and 40 religious leaders and the leaders of 500 women groups, which are trained in legal questions. Furthermore, 36,150 inhabitants of the ten wards in Mulebe district on Lake Victoria get direct access to legal aid.

The overall objective aims to ...promote responsible civic engagement and good governance. The project aims to promote justice and peace, good governance and an inclusive society for sustainable development and to ensure the survival, protection, Gender Equality, end all forms of Discrimination against women and development of vulnerable social groups. 34,546 people in Ngara, Biharamulo and Chato districts, especially women and youths, will directly benefit from the trainings, facilitation and advocacy for their social, political, economic rights as well as the provision of direct relief services in form of legal assistance and counselling to the survivors of gender based violence. Young people will directly benefit from project interventions through the provision of civic and integrative education. The indirect beneficiaries will be the 1.2 million community members of the project area in the districts of Biharamulo, Chato and Ngara, which benefit from the free development of women, reduced incidences of Gender Based Violence and improved civic education.

Background: Just as UNWomen i...n general, the Afhganistan Coutnry office also aims to make the shift from a project organiasation to a programmatic approach. The development results framework 2014 -2017 is alligned to the NAPWA (National Action Plan for Women of Afghansitan) and Afghan NPPs (peace and reconsiliation program, law and justice for all, local governance, human resources development). - General objective: see DRF - Specific objective: Country Offcie Afghanistan will work around III pilars: 1. Eliminating Violence Against Women (EVAWP), 2. Political and economic empowerment (PEEP) en Coordination and Advocacy (CAP) (zie narrative p. 11). Background: Initiative Seruka... pour les victimes de Viol est une organisation locale sans but lucratif agréée au Burundi sous ordonnance ministérielle n° 530/1149 du 04/11/2008.Après avoir entendu le désengagement de Médecins Sans Frontières Belgique dans la prise en charge des victimes de violences sexuelles à travers le Centre Seruka, le personnel du centre s est mis ensemble pour créer une association sans but lucratif dénommé Initiative Seruka pour les victimes de Viol, qui reprendra les activités du centre après le départ de MSF afin de garantir la continuité de cette prise en charge.La reprise des activités a été progressive. Vers la fin de 2008, ISV avec MSF ont collaboré dans la mobilisation des fonds pour le projet Seruka. En 2009, ISV est devenu gestionnaire du projet en collaboration avec MSF. Durant le dernier semestre de 2009 jusqu à ce jour, ISV est devenu seul gestionnaire du projet. ISV assure donc le fonctionnement du Centre Seruka, qui est le seul centre spécialisé dans la prise en charge des personnes victimes de violences sexuelles au Burundi. La prise en charge y est médicale, psychosociale et des références sont effectuées vers d autres acteurs pour le suivi juridique. De part le mouvement OYA, le Centre Seruka contribue aussi dans le lobbying et le plaidoyer. - General objective: Objectif : L Initiative Seruka pour les victimes de Viol a pour objectif global de contribuer à la réduction de la morbidité liée aux violences sexuelles au Burundi en assurant aux victimes de violences sexuelles un accès aux différents services offerts par le projet, Centre Seruka. - Specific objective: L objectif principal du projet et des différentes activités prévues dans ledit projet est de contribuer à l établissement d un environnement légal favorable, qui promeut les droits de la personne humaine à travers l élimination des violences sexuelles - Results: Résultats: 1. A court terme1)Initiative Seruka pour les victimes de Viol a son personnel compétent avec un matériel adéquat pour la prise en charge des victimes de viol,2)Les capacités du Centre Seruka sont renforcées dans la prise en charge juridique3)Les structures communautaires, les corps de la police sont formés et sensibilisés sur les violences sexuelles, 4)Après la formation, un comité communal de surveillance est mise en place et opère efficacement dans chaque commune soit 30 comités communaux.2. A moyen terme 1)Les structures communautaires entreprennent des actions qui visent à dénoncer et à changer les comportements socio -culturels qui renforcent les violences sexuelles parce qu elles auront été sensibilisées,2)La population n aura plus peur de dénoncer des cas de viol,3)Des cas de dénonciations des actes de viol seront enregistrés, vérifiés, traités et suivis d une façon efficace,4)Les cas des violences sexuelles dans les localités ciblées vont diminuer..3. Background: En novembre 2011,... le Ministère congolais de la Coopération Internationale et Régionale (MINCIR) avait adressé une requête à AMBABEL KINSHASA pour financer, sur l enveloppe budgétaire réservée à la coopération déléguée dans le PIC 2010 -2013, le nouveau programme d'appui au renforcement de la justice à l'est de la RDC « UHAKI SAFI » géré par la Commission Européenne.Dans les provinces du Nord et Sud Kivu et le district de l'Ituri, le programme REJUSCO a aidé au redémarrage de l'appareil judiciaire. Toutefois, ce redémarrage reste fragile et précaire. Afin que l'appareil judiciaire puisse atteindre sa vitesse de croisière, c'est -à -dire un fonctionnement régulier et conforme aux grands principes de droit consacrés dans le droit international et la constitution, la stratégie du présent programme vise à consolider la gouvernance judiciaire tout en remplaçant la lutte contre les violences sexuelles dans une approche genre qui met l'accent sur la dignité humaine et en traitant un des éléments majeurs de l'instabilité sociopolitique de l'Est congolais - les conflits fonciers. Le programme Uhaki Safi se développe donc sur cinq plans : 1) L'amélioration de la gestion administrative, financière et des ressources humaines du secteur judiciaire et de la coordination des interventions, 2) L'amélioration des compétences des acteurs judiciaires et le rétablissement des contrôles internes du secteur judiciaire, 3) L'amélioration de la proximité de la justice et des justiciables, notamment en zone rurale 4) La sécurisation des droits des femmes et la simplification du traitement policier et judiciaire des violences sexuelles, 5) L appui au développement d outils/services techniques pour la régulation des conflits fonciers dans l Est. La consolidation se traduit par l'insistance sur l'amélioration des ressources humaines (tant au niveau de l'administration qu'au niveau de la société civile) afin de développer la capacité de gestion des infrastructures judiciaires et pénitentiaires réalisées par le programme précédent et de développer la participation de la société civile à la lutte contre l'impunité. De plus, la lutte contre les violences sexuelles est recadrée dans une approche genre qui imprègne l'ensemble du programme de manière transversale , tout en restant précise en termes d'activités. - General objective: L objectif global de ce projet est de contribuer à la consolidation de l'Etat de droit en luttant contre l'impunité ordinaire et de guerre dans le Nord et Sud Kivu et le district de l'Ituri qui sont encore des régions troublées. - Specific objective: L'objectif spécifique est d'améliorer, en cohérence avec le plan d'actions pour la réforme de la justice et le plan STAREC (stabilisation et reconstruction de l'Est du Congo), la gouvernance judiciaire dans ces zones - Results: Les résultats attendus du Programme d Appui au Renforcement de la Justice à l Est sont les suivants:1). General objective: La Mission... de l'ong est de contribuer à changer les rapports de force N/S et H/F dans le sens de la solidarité et de la justice dans une perspective de genre. L'ong procède à une analyse de la problématique en s'appuyant sur des recherches -actions croisées par le regard des ong de trois continents et des récoltes de données sur le terrain (partenaires directes et indirectes); elle veut promouvoir les droits des femmes et leur empowerment, dénoncer les inégalités, proposer des changements grâce notamment au plaidoyer politique. - Specific objective: Le leadership féminin dans le secteur agricole et la lutte contre les violences sexuelles sont renforcés par les actions du Conafed (au Kasaï oriental et à Kinshasa) . - Results: L objectif spécifique se décline dans les résultats attendus suivants : - [R1] Les volumes des productions agricoles des femmes sont améliorés grâce à l'amélioration de la productivité, de la diversification des productions et la sécurisation des systèmes de production dans le territoire de Luilu, District de Kabinda, Kasaï Oriental. - [R2] Les droits des femmes (y compris à la santé) et la lutte contre les violences sexuelles sont davantage promus à Kinshasa. - [R3] Les REFED et par eux le CONAFED ont leurs capacités renforcées et sont appuyés pour mieux assurer leurs missions de façon durable. - [R4] Un réseau genre et développement en Afrique centrale lié au M/F est mis sur pied en vue d'augmenter la pertinence et l'impact des actions d'égalité entre les F/H dans la coopération au développement. -

Dergelijk werk maakt een geïntegreerde multi -sectorale aanpak noodzakelijk, die sociaal welzijn, onderwijs, gezondheid, wetstoepassing en rechtgerelateerde interventies omvat. Background: ' Lieu d'interven...tion : Régional : Lima, Cusco et Junín - General objective: Dans le cadre des standards universels des droits de l'homme, implémentation effective des politiques publiques nationales de prévention, de sanction et d'éradication de la violence sexiste envers les femmes dans trois régions (Cusco, Junín y Lima). - Specific objective: A la fin du projet, trois « Tables thématiques » régionales implémentées, avec la participation de femmes des organisations de la société civile (Junín, Cusco et Lima) et des autorités régionales, élaborent avec succès des propositions concertées de politiques, de projets et de programmes dans le cadre de l'implémentation du Plan national de violence envers les femmes 2009 -2015 (PNCVHM) ; trois observatoires régionaux de la société civile mettent en place un plan de surveillance et de suivi du PNCVHM ; et les organisations de jeunes, de femmes et mixtes réussissent des engagements en matière de lutte contre la violence envers les femmes dans les trois régions d'intervention. - Results: Résultat 1 : 75 femmes des organisations sociales de Junín, Cusco et Lima ont renforcé leurs capacités de dialogue avec les acteurs gouvernementaux en effectuant des actions de concertation et d'incidence dans le cadre de l'implémentation du PNCVHM. Résultat 2 : Trois observatoires régionaux de la société civile sont en fonctionnement et implémentent un système d'incidence, de surveillance et de suivi à l'implémentation du PNCVHM à Junín, Cusco et Lima. Résultat 3: Les attitudes et les comportements des femmes, des hommes et des jeunes se sont améliorés par rapport à la violence sexiste envers les femmes et ils la reconnaissent comme un facteur qui limite le développement. -

Background : In 2003 werd via... het project Sponsoring Children Uganda, het Rachele rehabilitatiecentrum in Noord-Oeganda opgericht met medefinanciering van de dienst Vredesopbouw. Om te voorkomen dat de veelheid aan informatie over kindsoldaten en de lokale expertise in de opvang en begeleiding van deze kinderen zou verloren gaan bij de afsluiting van het project, werd in september 2008 het interuniversitair Centre for children in vulnerable situations opgericht met het saldo van het stopgezette project Sponsoring Children Uganda. Op korte termijn zal dit centrum instaan voor de inventarisering, het beheer en de mogelijkheid tot wetenschappelijke studie van het archief van het Rachele rehabilitatiecentrum. Op lange termijn moet het studiecentrum leiden tot een expertise- en documentatiecentrum dat de kennis en deskundigheid op het vlak van opvang en begeleiding van kinderen geconfronteerd met geweld bundelt en integreert in samenwerkingsverbanden. -Specific objective : De specifieke doelstellingen van voorliggend 3-jaren-programma zijn: 1) Het versterken van de kennis en deskundigheid bij organisaties en initiatieven, zowel op nationaal als internationaal niveau, inzake de psychosociale ondersteuning van door oorlog getroffen kinderen en jongeren in het Zuiden, met specifieke aandacht voor de ondersteuning van ex-kindsoldaten en minderjarige slachtoffers van seksueel misbruik. Deze kennis- en deskundigheidsverhoging richt zich op diverse terreinen op micro-, meso- en macroniveau. 2) De ondersteuning en uitbouw van regionale ondersteuningscentra voor door oorlog getroffen kinderen en jongeren met specifieke aandacht voor ex-kindsoldaten en minderjarige slachtoffers van seksueel misbruik in Noord-Oeganda en Oost-Congo. -Intended results : Het programma bestaat uit 6 deelprojecten m.n. 1) een inventarisatie-onderzoek in Colombia en Nepal over gebruikte methodes voor de reintegratie van kindsoldaten, 2)een onderzoek naar copingstrategiëen van ex-kindsoldaten en slachtoffers van conflicten, 3) een longitudinale follow-up studie waarbij Noord-Oegandese ex-kindsoldaten en hun onmiddellijke omgeving gedurende langere tijd gevolgd om meer inzicht te krijgen in wat ex-kindsoldaten helpt dan wel belemmert in het heropbouwen van hun leven en hoe re-integratieprocessen van deze ex-kindsoldaten op lange termijn verlopen, 4) ondersteunen en uitbouwen van een regionaal ondersteuningscentrum in Noord-Oeganda, 5) ondersteunen en uitbouwen ondersteuningscentrum in Ituri, 6) bekendmakingsinitiatieven om resultaten van andere projecten te verspreiden via website, publicaties, rapporten -
