Regional Program 'Learning for... Change (L4C) - Strengthening women's voices in East Africa' (AUT917, ETH919, UGA919, RWA939). The overall aim is the promotion of meaningful participation of women in decision making processes at different levels. At community level ( impact level) L4C is intending to reach 644.000 people. As a result of the intervention, women shall benefit of increased participation in decision making, better access to resources and equality in different parts of life. Psychosocial interventions shall contribute to a reduction of gender based violence and to increased social harmony at household, community and organizational level. Around 70,000 people have been... displaced in rural areas during the civil war in Nepal (1996-2006). So many women came into the cities, where they primarily found jobs in the entertainment sector (restaurants, bars, massage salons and guesthouses). There they are often at the mercy of mental and sexual exploitation. The aim of this project is to help affected women through legal and psychosocial advice, trainings and education. A further aim is to support the creation and the strengthening of a union for women, who work in the entertainment sector. A total of around 3,500 women should be directly integrated into the project. Overall, there are a more than 18,000 people (family members of affected women or people, who also work in this sector in the project area), who profit by it indirectly.

Regional Program 'Learning for... Change (L4C) - Strengthening women's voices in East Africa' (AUT917, ETH919, UGA919, RWA939). The overall aim is the promotion of meaningful participation of women in decision making processes at different levels. At community level ( impact level) L4C is intending to reach 644.000 people. As a result of the intervention, women shall benefit of increased participation in decision making, better access to resources and equality in different parts of life. Psychosocial interventions shall contribute to a reduction of gender based violence and to increased social harmony at household, community and organizational level.

The aim of the project is to c...ontribute to the transformation of social and cultural patterns that reproduce sexual violence against girls in several communities in Medellin and Antioquia. The association Vamos mujer is a contact point for girls who are affected by violence. They learn to defend themselves and receive assistance in taking legal action in the event of violent attacks. At the same time, the families of young girls and women, teachers and community representatives are also being worked on to make visible the injustice behind violence against girls and women and to create a secure environment. Vamos mujer also produces a report on human rights abuses against women in the Department of Antioquia.

The project contributes to the... implementation of the Georgian Action Plan to Combat Violence against Women and Domestic Violence 2010-2020 in order to protect women and children and prevent family breakdown. In the Zugdidi district, 200 socially disadvantaged families, in which women and children are at risk of domestic violence, are to be strengthened so that they can become socially and economically active. The project contributes to the achievement of the following SDGs: 1.2., 4.1., 4.4., 4.5., 5.2, 5.4, 5.5., 10.2. By focusing on preventing domestic violence and promoting equality, the project also makes a contribution to the EU Action Plan for Equality (GAPII) in relation to Goals 7, 13, 14, 19.
