It records incidents where health workers, facilities, transport, patients, or other health resources are harmed, obstructed, threatened, or subjected to violence, with the goal of documenting the nature and scale of these attacks worldwide. The system is used to analyse trends, support advocacy to protect health services and workers, and guide efforts to reduce violence against health care in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
