Rwanda Social Marketing Progra...m (RSMP) - Family Planning and Reproductive Health
more
|
In Rwanda, the limited availab...ility of public health information remains a significant barrier to individual well-being and the promotion of public health goals. The Rwanda Social Marketing Program (RSMP) seeks to contribute to filling this gap by implementing health communication activities that increase access to health information and health products, and promote healthy behaviors among Rwandans on issues related to HIV and AIDS, malaria, family planning, and child survival. Target beneficiaries include vulnerable groups such as female sex workers (FSW), men who have sex with men (MSM), motorcycle taxi drivers, truck drivers, people living with HIV and AIDS (PLHIV), and caregivers of children under five.

AKSE (Aksyon Kolektif pou Seki...rite kont Eksplwatasyon - Health Policy Project) - Family Planning and Reproductive Health
more
|
The Health Policy Project (HPP...) works to strengthen developing country national and subnational policy, advocacy, governance, and finance for strategic, equitable, and sustainable health programming. HPP helps countries bring about real change in the health of people and communities. We work with in-country partners to sustain commitment to and ownership of policy responses that support improvements in family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH), HIV, and maternal health.
more
|
Globally, HPP contributes to i...mproved health outcomes through strengthening the efficiency, effectiveness, and equity of health systems in a multi-sectoral context. HPP focuses on the policy aspects of health and other social sectors, often in a multi-sectoral context. We also assist countries to improve health outcomes by addressing barriers due to gender inequalities, socioeconomic status, stigma and discrimination, operational issues, and other factors that prevent people from seeking the health and related social services they need. Throughout our work, we are committed to encouraging in-country capacity for policy, advocacy, governance, and finance. For additional information on HPP see www.healthpolicyproject.com. (https://jobpaw.com/public/detailsjob.php?idjob=5595)
In Haiti, HPP has been asked to implement the USAID-funded for the Aksyon Kolektif pou Sekirite kont Eksplwatasyon (AKSE) Program which supports a multi-sectoral approach to strengthen the Haitian environment for human rights in general and for vulnerable populations, in particular, children, women, and sexual minorities. AKSE was previously implemented by CARE International. HPP will build on the work of the previous project from March 2014 through at least September 2015, with potential for extension.

Vocational & Technical Educati...on Project
more
|
The Project's overall aim is t...o reform the vocational and technical education (VTE) system so that it can better support the Government's market-oriented industrialization policy. The more immediate objective is to improve the quality of VTE in 15 key secondary vocational and technical schools. These key schools will serve as demonstration schools to promote nationwide education reforms in the VTE subsector. Institutional capacity of General Department of Vocational Training will be strengthened through introduction of new policies, reorganization, and staff training. The Project has three components: (i) improving the market orientation of the VTE; (ii) upgrading key schools by developing curricula and instructional materials and improving equipment and facilities; and (iii) introducing policy reforms in VTE system through institutional capacity building.
