more
|
Communication for Change (C-Ch...ange) in DRC - Tuberculosis
more
|
FHI 360s Communication for Cha...nge (C-Change) project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) seeks to increase positive health behaviors through evidence-based, social and behavior change communication (SBCC) programs that focus on family planning, HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence, malaria, tuberculosis, water sanitation, maternal and child health, nutrition and HIV, and prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. C-Change is working at central and provincial levels to build managerial and SBCC skills within the government, nongovernmental organizations and civil society organizations. We envision building local capacity to plan, monitor and evaluate scientifically based SBCC interventions, so the DRC becomes a regional leader offering state-of-the-art SBCC approaches to neighboring countries.

E3 Blanket Purchase Agreement ...(BPA) - Tuberculosis
more
|
The Office of Trade and Regula...tory Reform (TRR) is overseeing a new mechanism for Missions and Offices to access technical expertise in a wide variety of EG-related specialties at the lowest cost to USAID. The E3 Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) creates a roster of U.S. consultants who can be engaged directly by USAID (with no overhead to consulting firms) for assignments lasting up to 90 days without contracting officer approval. TRR has a small but growing pool of experts available in trade, regulatory reform, economic analysis, finance, and enterprise development, among others. We anticipate retaining consultants in program design/development, monitoring and evaluation, and other areas over the next several months.

Systems for Improved Access to... Pharmaceuticals and Services (SIAPS) - Tuberculosis
more
|
SIAPS focuses on enhancing pha...rmaceutical services through patientcentered solutions while continuing to support essential supply chain functions and medical products supply security. The SIAPS goal is to support the achievement of improved and sustained health outcomes by applying a systems strengthening approach consistent with the Global Health Initiative (GHI) principles. The SIAPS result areas address the intersections of five health systems components as they pertain to pharmaceutical services (governance, human resources, information, financing, and service delivery) in the design of potential interventions to ensure that they respond to health element and cross cutting concerns in support of health system strengthening.

Applying Science to Strengthen... and Improve Systems (ASSIST) - Tuberculosis
more
|
The objective of the USAID App...lying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project is to improve the quality and outcomes of health care and other services by enabling host country providers and managers to apply the science of improvement. The project seeks to build the capacity of host country service delivery organizations in USAID-assisted countries to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, client-centeredness, safety, accessibility, and equity of the health and family services they provide. USAID ASSIST also seeks to institutionalize the capacity to improve through competency development at the pre- and in-service levels as well as engaging with host country governments at the policy level.

HealthTech V - Tuberculosis
|
HealthTech develops, adapts, e...valuates and/or facilitates the introduction of affordable and appropriate technology solutions for the safe, effective, and more equitable distribution of health care services in low-resource countries. This project will address implementation barriers (e.g., issues with technical design, supply chain management, and policy) that typically prevent innovative technologies from reaching the most vulnerable populations. A significant focus of this project will be the advancement of health technologies through commercialization efforts.

The Knowledge for Health (K4He...alth) Project is the flagship health knowledge management project of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The current iteration of the Knowledge for Health (K4Health) Project is the latest in a lineage of reproductive health knowledge-sharing projects which began over 40 years ago. K4Healths focus is on social knowledge management for family planning and reproductive health. The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Healths Center for Communication Programs (JHUCCP) manages the project in partnership with the Global Health Bureau at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). IntraHealth International joins longtime collaborators FHI 360 and Management Sciences for Health as partners with JHUCCP.
