Building on decades of USAIDs ...work procuring health commodities and strengthening supply chains, the Global Health Supply Chain-Procurement and Supply Management project is working to transform global and national supply chains for health commodities. The project integrates two former USAID programs into one efficient supply chain that serves many of the worlds most vulnerable and difficult-to-reach communities. The project is designed to meet todays critical global health challenges eliminating HIV and AIDS, providing universal malaria coverage, and helping women meet their family planning and reproductive health needs. By bringing together advanced technical solutions, a team of highly qualified experts, and proven commercial processes and principles, USAID Global Health Supply Chain works to reduce costs and increase efficiencies in global and national supply chains. In addition to optimizing supply chains, the project is strengthening national supply chain systems and fostering collaboration among supply chain stakeholders worldwide.

MCSP is reducing maternal and ...newborn mortality and morbidity in Burma by strengthening the midwifery profession. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other partners, we promote best practices in maternal and newborn health care, and provide capacity building support to the Myanmar Nurses Midwives Association. We focus on evidence-based, high-quality interventions to reduce the leading drivers of maternal mortality in the country: postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, and sepsis. MCSP also addresses the major causes of newborn death through improved neonatal resuscitation, prevention and management of pre-term birth, care for preterm/low birth weight newborns, and identification and management of newborn infections. and we work with the MOH to provide national technical assistance for malaria in pregnancy and integrated community case management.

Vision
The Maternal and Child ...Survival Program is a global, USAID Cooperative
Agreement to introduce and support high-impact health interventions
with a focus on 24 high-priority countries* with the ultimate goal of ending
preventable child and maternal deaths (EPCMD) within a generation. The
Program is focused on ensuring that all women, newborns and children most in
need have equitable access to quality health care services to save lives.
Intervention Areas
The Maternal and Child Survival Program supports programming in maternal,
newborn and child health, immunization, family planning and reproductive
health, nutrition, health systems strengthening, water/sanitation/hygiene,
malaria, prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and pediatric HIV
care and treatment.
*High-priority countries are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia,
Ghana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria,
Pakistan, Rwanda, Senegal, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen and Zambia.

The purpose of the Health Poli...cy Plus (HP+) project is to improve the enabling environment for equitable and sustainable health services, supplies and delivery systems through policy development and implementation, with an emphasis on family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH), maternal and child health (MCH), and HIV and AIDS. It is expected that work across health policy, advocacy, financing, and governance, in a highly coordinated and collaborative approach and with attention to gender equality and equity issues, will be required to achieve the project purpose. This project will leverage previous USG investments in the areas of policy, advocacy, financing, and governance, preserve the progress made to date, and ensure progression toward stated objectives.

Building on decades of USAIDs ...work procuring health commodities and strengthening supply chains, the Global Health Supply Chain-Procurement and Supply Management project is working to transform global and national supply chains for health commodities. The project integrates two former USAID programs into one efficient supply chain that serves many of the worlds most vulnerable and difficult-to-reach communities. The project is designed to meet todays critical global health challenges eliminating HIV and AIDS, providing universal malaria coverage, and helping women meet their family planning and reproductive health needs. By bringing together advanced technical solutions, a team of highly qualified experts, and proven commercial processes and principles, USAID Global Health Supply Chain works to reduce costs and increase efficiencies in global and national supply chains. In addition to optimizing supply chains, the project is strengthening national supply chain systems and fostering collaboration among supply chain stakeholders worldwide.

The Health Information Systems... (HIS) project will support USG efforts to strengthen the Ministry of Health's (MOH) capacity to build sustainable health information systems within Haiti, allowing for the GOH to effectively manage program resources (both host country and donor) and monitor patient outcomes, as well as to ensure effective, routinized information use throughout the health sector. In early FY 2014, HIS helped the MOH define gaps and adopt a health information system (DHiS2), linking the various information systems currently in use, and by the end of that year, the project created a national data warehouse to facilitate data analysis and informed resource and management planning. With FY 2015 resources HIS will provide focused capacity building to the MOH's Unit of Evaluation and Planning (UEP) to allow the unit to develop and enforce MOH strategic information regulations and standards related to monitoring and reporting of Haiti's health activities.

Support SISNU implementation, training, and enhancements, including by setting up a help desk to support users.
Develop SISNU stewardship by supporting Haiti’s Ministère de la Santé Publique et de la Population (health ministry) with skills assessment and training, and dashboards and web portal that support data analysis and information dissemination.
Increase interoperability between SISNU and stakeholders such as local health providers and clinics.

Establish technical working groups.

MCSP is reducing maternal and ...newborn mortality and morbidity in Burma by strengthening the midwifery profession. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other partners, we promote best practices in maternal and newborn health care, and provide capacity building support to the Myanmar Nurses Midwives Association. We focus on evidence-based, high-quality interventions to reduce the leading drivers of maternal mortality in the country: postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, and sepsis. MCSP also addresses the major causes of newborn death through improved neonatal resuscitation, prevention and management of pre-term birth, care for preterm/low birth weight newborns, and identification and management of newborn infections. and we work with the MOH to provide national technical assistance for malaria in pregnancy and integrated community case management.

preventable child and maternal deaths (EPCMD) within a generation. The
Program is focused on ensuring that all women, newborns and children most in
need have equitable access to quality health care services to save lives.
Intervention Areas
The Maternal and Child Survival Program supports programming in maternal,
newborn and child health, immunization, family planning and reproductive
health, nutrition, health systems strengthening, water/sanitation/hygiene,
malaria, prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and pediatric HIV
care and treatment.

A significant percentage of Ha...itis population cannot afford health care and does not receive information on basic health issues. In response, USAID launched PROMARK to strengthen and expand social marketing of health-related products and services in Haiti and address gaps in behavior change communication and information campaigns. The PROMARK project is designed based on Ministry of Health (MOH) recommendations, both at the central and departmental levels. PROMARK promotes healthy behaviors related to reproductive health, family planning, maternal health, and child survival. A primary component of this strategy is the distribution of affordable condoms and other contraceptives, oral rehydration salts, and safe water products at commercial establishments, pharmacies, and private clinics throughout the country, thus making behavior change easier.

Supply Chain Management System... (SCMS) is a multi-billion dollar PEPFAR Program managed by USAID and implemented by Partnership for Supply Chain Management (PfSCM). The purpose of SCMS is to ensure the supply of quality essential medicines and other products to people impacted by HIV/AIDS, and to promote sustainable supply chains in partner countries, in collaboration with US agencies and other stakeholders. SCMS supports the rapid scale up of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment by providing an uninterrupted supply of key commodities. The Health Information Systems... (HIS) project will support USG efforts to strengthen the Ministry of Health's (MOH) capacity to build sustainable health information systems within Haiti, allowing for the GOH to effectively manage program resources (both host country and donor) and monitor patient outcomes, as well as to ensure effective, routinized information use throughout the health sector. In early FY 2014, HIS helped the MOH define gaps and adopt a health information system (DHiS2), linking the various information systems currently in use, and by the end of that year, the project created a national data warehouse to facilitate data analysis and informed resource and management planning. With FY 2015 resources HIS will provide focused capacity building to the MOH's Unit of Evaluation and Planning (UEP) to allow the unit to develop and enforce MOH strategic information regulations and standards related to monitoring and reporting of Haiti's health activities.

USAID's Health Service Deliver...y Project in the South (SSQH-South) provides access to, and increased utilization of, primary healthcare services at health facilities in six departments in south and central Haiti. Emphasis is placed on increasing the utilization of the MOH's integrated package of services at the primary care and community levels (particularly in rural or isolated areas). These services include pre- and post-natal care, family planning, nutrition, HIV/AIDS, TB, child health services including immunization and nutrition, sanitation and hygiene.

In addition to optimizing supply chains, the project is strengthening national supply chain systems and fostering collaboration among supply chain stakeholders worldwide.

MCSP is reducing maternal and ...newborn mortality and morbidity in Burma by strengthening the midwifery profession. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other partners, we promote best practices in maternal and newborn health care, and provide capacity building support to the Myanmar Nurses Midwives Association. We focus on evidence-based, high-quality interventions to reduce the leading drivers of maternal mortality in the country: postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, and sepsis. MCSP also addresses the major causes of newborn death through improved neonatal resuscitation, prevention and management of pre-term birth, care for preterm/low birth weight newborns, and identification and management of newborn infections. and we work with the MOH to provide national technical assistance for malaria in pregnancy and integrated community case management.

Vision
The Maternal and Child ...Survival Program is a global, USAID Cooperative
Agreement to introduce and support high-impact health interventions
with a focus on 24 high-priority countries* with the ultimate goal of ending
preventable child and maternal deaths (EPCMD) within a generation. The
Program is focused on ensuring that all women, newborns and children most in
need have equitable access to quality health care services to save lives.
Intervention Areas
The Maternal and Child Survival Program supports programming in maternal,
newborn and child health, immunization, family planning and reproductive
health, nutrition, health systems strengthening, water/sanitation/hygiene,
malaria, prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and pediatric HIV
care and treatment.
*High-priority countries are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia,
Ghana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria,
Pakistan, Rwanda, Senegal, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen and Zambia.
