For these reasons, the delivery of sexual and reproduc-tive health and rights (SRHR) as well as GBV services to conflict-affected communities – most of whom are living in protracted displacement – is a key part of UNFPA’s Women and Girls First Programme (WGF). The initia-tive is a commitment to prevent and respond to violence perpetrated against women and girls in Myanmar, and to realize their sexual and reproductive health and rights.

disparités régionales et sociales. Les tendances épidémiologiques récentes révèlent que
l’affection du VIH/SIDA touche une population de plus en plus jeune et de plus en plus
féminine. Mais quelle est la situation des jeunes scolaires de 15-24 ans ? C’est là la principale
préoccupation prise en compte par cette communication qui vise à analyser l’influence de
l’environnement scolaire sur les risques en termes de sexualité des jeunes de 15-24 ans.

Malgré les efforts de promotion des mutuelles de santé depuis une décennie et l’existence d’une vingtaine de compagnies privées proposant des polices d’assurance maladie, moins de 1% de la population camerounaise bénéficie d’une couverture maladie. Les facteurs sous jacents

sont entre autres : (i) la méfiance des ménages vis-à-vis des mutuelles de santé et des assureurs privés; (ii) l’absence d’obligation d’une assurance maladie qui en fait un produit de luxe ; (iii) l’ignorance des avantages des mécanismes assurantiels; (iv) la pauvreté et le montant élevé des primes d’adhésion et des cotisations annuelles ; et (v) la forte prévalence de l’emploi dans le secteur informel (80,6%). Pour y faire face nous proposons de : 1) Créer et pérenniser un environnement favorable à la promotion et au développement des MS ; 2) Subventionner les primes par le Gouvernement, les Partenaires et les Municipalités pour en réduire le prix d’achat ; 3) Instituer une collecte flexible des primes et établir un dispositif attractif de mutualisation du risque et des procédures d’achat qui inspirent confiance aux usagers et aux prestataires des soins.

Gouvernement camerounais, l’Agence des États-Unis pour le Développement International (USAID), le Fonds
des Nations Unies pour la Population (UNFPA) et le Fonds Mondial à travers le Programme National de Lutte
contre le Paludisme (PNLP). D’autres institutions ont également apporté leur expertise à la réalisation de cette
opération. Parmi elles figurent le Centre Pasteur du Cameroun (CPC) pour l’analyse des prélèvements sanguins
afin d’estimer la prévalence du VIH, et le Centre International de Référence Chantal Biya (CIRCB) pour le
contrôle de qualité externe des tests du VIH. ICF a fourni l’assistance technique à l’ensemble du projet par le
biais du Programme Mondial des Enquêtes Démographiques et de Santé, The DHS Program, financé par
l’USAID, et dont l’objectif est de fournir un soutien et une assistance technique aux pays du monde entier pour
la réalisation des enquêtes sur la population et la santé.

COVID-19 prevalence data are critical for planning effective mitigation strategies and understandingthe true impact of the disease and relevant intervention measures in Africa, which might be quite different from regions with a different population age distribution or risk factor profile.

diagnosis of S. stercoralis, there is a felt urgency to optimize diagnostic regimens that are currently available, and in the context of population-based testing (as opposed to individual focused diagnostics in clinical settings).
In other words, the diagnostic test(s) should have good accuracy, but we should remember that in public health we do not aim at individual diagnosis: rather, we need a tool that should help to estimate the prevalence in a population.
