Caritas aims to increase its work in Syria, Iraq and across the Middle East in 2015 as the conflict in Syria enters into its fifth year with no solution in sight. The Caritas confederation of Catholic aid agencies operating in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Turkey reached 1.2 million people in 2014 with aid through national Caritas and Church partners.
