This technical report presents the results of a cross-sectional survey conducted in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, between June and July 2016, as part of the FEEDcities Project – Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The aim was to describe the local street food environment: the characteristics of the vending si...tes, the food offered and the nutritional composition of the industrial and homemade foods often available in these settings. The report also provides guidance for policies to translate the findings into action.

Data analysis is based on the Donabedian framework for assessing quality of care in health services, which divides the indicators into three groups: structure, process, and outcome. The World Health Organization Service ...Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA) indicator guideline was used to assess facility service readiness, service quality and client satisfaction with maternal health services. The study performed both bivariate and multivariate regression analysis to examine the association of maternal health service readiness and quality indicators with client satisfaction.

The Burkina Faso Demographic and Health and Multiple Cluster Indicator Survey 2010 (DHS-MICS), or Enquête Démographique et de Santé et à Indicateurs Multiples du Burkina Faso 2010, was conducted by the Institut National de la Statistique et de la Démographie (INSD) of the Ministry of Economy a...nd Plan (MOEP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), with technical assistance from ICF International. Data for this nationally representative survey were collected from 14,424 households, and complete interviews were conducted with 17,087 women aged 15−49 and 7,307 men aged 15–59. The fieldwork took place from May 2010 to January 2011. The summary statistics presented below were taken from the 2010 Burkina Faso DHS-MICS (INSD and ICF International 2012), with exceptions as noted.

Religion has continued to play an important role in the Nigerian public’s perception of the coronavirus disease and the willingness to take the newly developed vaccine. In an April 2020 NOI Poll Survey conducted to ascertain the public’s perception of the coronavirus pandemic and the Nigerian go...vernment’s initial response to the virus, 42% of respondents who stated that they were immune to coronavirus highlighted their belief in God as their reason, regardless of religious affiliation. Recent public opinion polls have also revealed that although Nigeria has surpassed over 100,000 coronavirus cases, more than a third of Nigerians who are aware of current scientific advances regarding the coronavirus vaccine are unwilling to take it whenever it is eventually made available nationwide. These respondents anchored their hopes on their faith, which for the Nigerian government could signal another public health risk in its efforts to curb the spread of the disease.
