Il souligne les progrès insuffisants pour atteindre l’objectif de développement durable 3.4, qui vise à réduire d’un tiers la mortalité prématurée liée aux MNT d'ici 2030. Les principaux défis incluent le manque de financement, la mise en œuvre limitée d’interventions efficaces et des obstacles politiques et économiques, en particulier dans les pays à faible revenu. Le rapport appelle à renforcer la coopération internationale, à réformer les politiques et à adopter des approches innovantes pour atteindre les objectifs mondiaux en matière de santé.

This report covers research conducted on HIV stigma and discrimination using the Stigma Index in the Papua New Guinea provinces of Western Highlands and Chimbu*. When Igat Hope began the project the aim was to conduct interviews in all regions of PNG. However, due to funding constraints and organis...ational capacities, the Stigma Index has only been applied in one region, that is, the Highlands Region. In future, the hope is to gather comparable data from other regions in PNG. Despite the fact that the overall project aims have not yet been achieved, the data contained in this report provides useful information that can be considered as work continues in PNG on HIV-related stigma and discrimination and human rights.

These recommendations will be used to sensitise the broader humanitarian community to the need for inclusive disaster risk management practices in future emergency responses which pay attention to factors such as gender, age, disability and ethnicity, and build upon the capacities of older people and persons with disabilities.
