Interim Guidance 15 April 2020 These technical specifications describe the minimum requirements that invasive and non-invasive ventilators must comply with to ensure quality, safety and effectiveness when used for the management of COVID-19. All these ventilators should be provided with accessories, consumables and spare parts as required to operate for minimum duration of 3 months. It is advisable to follow the maintenance guidance for the replacement of accessories and consumables, and for the safe decontamination of the reusable parts provided by the manufacturer.
