These guidelines are aimed to provide guidance to Member States in developing their own national measures to combat counterfeiting of medicines. The guidelines include: an overview of the problems and factors concerning the counterfeiting of medicines; important steps to be followed in developing national strategies; inspection and screening of suspected counterfeit medicines; training of human resources.
