limate catastrophe is still open but closing rapidly. Financing gaps for sustainable development are large and growing – the estimates by international organizations and others are coalescing around $4 trillion additional investment needed annually for developing countries. This represents a more than 50% increase over the pre-pandemic estimates. Meanwhile, the finance divide has not been bridged, with developing countries paying around twice as much on average in interest on their total sovereign debt stock as developed countries. Many countries lack access to affordable finance or are in debt distress. Weak enabling environments are preventing progress. Average global growth has declined, while policy and regulatory frameworks still do not set appropriate incentives. Public budgets and spending is not fully aligned with SDGs. Private investors are not incentivised to invest enough in SDGs and climate action. The world is at a crossroads. This is the last chance to correct course if we want to achieve the SDGs by the 2030 deadline. Only an urgent, large-scale and sustainable investment push can help us achieve our global goals. Next year’s Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development in 2025 will be a once in 80-year opportunity to support coherent transformation of financing.

auteure part du constat que, malgré l’introduction de la CPS dans certaines régions camerounaises, sa mise en œuvre reste confrontée à une faible appropriation communautaire, à des résistances sociales et à un manque de communication adaptée.
L’objectif du travail est de concevoir une stratégie de communication sociale et comportementale visant à renforcer l’adhésion des communautés à cette intervention. Le mémoire s’appuie sur une analyse situationnelle approfondie, intégrant des données épidémiologiques, socioculturelles et communicationnelles. Il propose ensuite une campagne ciblée, articulée autour de messages clairs, de canaux adaptés (radios communautaires, agents de santé, leaders locaux) et de supports visuels compréhensibles.
La campagne vise à sensibiliser les parents, en particulier les mères, sur les avantages de la CPS, à corriger les fausses croyances, à encourager l’observance du traitement, et à renforcer la confiance envers les agents communautaires. Le document inclut un plan opérationnel, des outils de suivi-évaluation et une stratégie de pérennisation.
En conclusion, le mémoire souligne l’importance d’une communication contextualisée et participative pour améliorer la couverture et l’efficacité de la chimio-prévention du paludisme chez les enfants au Cameroun.

crenças e virtudes peculiares que necessitam de ser explorados e compreendidos no processo
de conduta ética na investigação. Por exemplo, um estudo realizado num contexto africano
reportou que a informação sobre os diagnósticos de cancro como desfavorável durante o
processo de consentimento informado poderia alterar o tratamento e o resultado dos cuidados
aos doentes. Nos contextos africanos, ao contrário dos países desenvolvidos, a ênfase é
colocada na autonomia comunitária em detrimento da autonomia individual. Nas populações
africanas onde os níveis de literacia em saúde são comparativamente baixos, a compreensão da
investigação e da doença durante o consentimento informado pode comprometer a capacidade
de tomar decisões informadas. Além disso, o menor estatuto socioeconómico das populações
africanas pode tornar os participantes do estudo vulneráveis, dado que os incentivos oferecidos
podem afectar as suas decisões de participar no estudo.

ular disease risk factors, management strategies and service delivery, in diverse settings and diverse populations, are equally critical to improving outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. Focusing on examples drawn from four cardiovascular diseases — coronary artery disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease — we argue that ethnicity, culture and context matter in determining the risk factors for disease as well as the comparative effectiveness of medications and other interventions, particularly diet and lifestyle interventions.
Conclusion
We believe that a host of cohort studies and randomized control trials currently being conducted or planned in low- and middle-income countries, focusing on previously understudied race/ethnic groups, have the potential to increase knowledge about the cause(s) and management of cardiovascular diseases across the world.
