adolescentes. Cerca del 57% de los venezolanos en el exterior se encuentran en Ecuador, Colombia y Perú, según Naciones Unidas.
En 2018, Plan International decidió implementar una estrategia regional en Colombia, Ecuador y Perú para mejorar las condiciones de vida de los refugiados y migrantes venezolanos, durante sus etapas de tránsito y asentamiento.
Durante los meses de junio y julio de 2019, el equipo de la oficina regional visitó más de siete ciudades entre Colombia, Ecuador y Perú para escuchar los testimonios de los refugiados y migrantes, así como para analizar sus necesidades en materia de mecanismos de protección, prevención de la violencia y salud sexual y reproductiva.
El presente documento refleja algunas de las situaciones de riesgo y violencia a las que millones de venezolanos se enfrentan cada día, desde los testimonios y experiencias de 17 refugiados y migrantes.

Interviews were conducted during a one-week registration period hosted by partner staff and preceded by awareness campaigns in the community. Measurement tools were selected to assess impact in three areas in line with the programme’s key objectives: (a) the protection of children from risk, (b) supporting caregivers and communities in strengthening systems of child protection, and (c) the promotion of children’s psychosocial wellbeing (including the acquisition of skills and knowledge).

In lower resource settings, lockdowns are less effective and hard to sustain, and clinical care facilities are extremely limited. In such environments, the response to COVID-19 must focus on containing the pandemic’s spread as far as possible through testing, contact tracing and isolation, protecting the health workforce through training and the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) and minimizing the knock-on impact on other diseases through shoring up fragile health systems, and adapting existing disease programs.
