Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are chronic health conditions that are not directly spread from person to person. They include diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, and chronic respiratory diseases. Globally, NCDs are the leading cause of death, accounting for over 70% of fatalities each year, with the burden disproportionately affecting low- and middle-income countries. Prevention plays a crucial role, focusing on promoting healthy lifestyles, early detection, and effective management to reduce their impact. The NCD TOOLBOX aims to promote knowledge & awareness of this topic. The Toolbox includes material regarding clinical aspects & diagnostics, information & education material or prevention & control.
