Early detection, assessment and response to acute public health events:
The purpose of this publication is to to provide a practical, stepwise approach to the implementation of the national action plans on AMR within the human health sector; and to provide a process and collation of existing WHO tools to prioritize, cost, implement, monitor and evaluate national action ...plan activities. The target audience of the publication are national/subnational stakeholders working on AMR within the human health sector. This includes national health authorities, national multi-sectoral coordination groups, senior technical experts and policymakers involved in implementing AMR activities at all levels of the health system, and implementation partners to accelerate sustainable implementation and monitoring and evaluation of national action plans on AMR.

The series explores essential components of the enabling environment and service delivery that can support efforts to... create inclusive education systems for all, including students with disabilities, and help reach the Sustainable Development Goal of equitable quality education for all by 2030. World Bank will be hosting the first webinar. The rest of the webinars will be hosted subsequently by other institutions. This webinar seeks to: 1) Increase knowledge regarding the policy development process and regional policy diagnostics 2) Strengthen understanding around disability data collection, instruments of collection, dis-aggregation and how that fits into the broader context of education data.

Early warning systems for disease outbreaks are surveillance systems that collect information on a selected list of epidemic-prone diseases in order to trigger prompt public health interventions. They function in humanitarian emergency situations when the routine public health surveillance systems o...f a country are underperforming, disrupted or non-existent. Early warning systems are often set up to fill such temporary gaps, while the routine systems recover from the effects of the disaster or a crisis. During humanitarian emergencies, detecting and responding swiftly to epidemics is key in order to reduce unecessary illness and death, especially among refugees and displaced people.
